Barriers to GP registration
We know that sometimes immigration status, not having a fixed address, or being able to provide identification can be a barrier for people trying to register with a GP. We wanted to find out people’s experiences of this in Leeds, so we asked 79 people who were either homeless, refugees or seeking asylum about their experiences.
Robin Lane GP
In October 2017, we carried out the first pilot visits to two surgeries East Leeds Medical Centre and Halton Medical Practice. This report forms part of the second phase of the pilot that includes visits to a further three surgeries and relates to Robin Lane GP Practice.
East Park Medical Practice
We visited at different times of the day in order to capture a range of views. We invited people to take our short survey while at the practise.
