We want to check in with you to see how things are going. We have a couple of questions for you that will help us inform organisations in Leeds how you are getting on during these difficult times.

Pregnancy during Lockdown
From 15 June to 5 July we ran a survey to hear from people about their experiences during pregnancy and the impact the pandemic has had on them. We wanted to hear from people who were both pregnant at the time of the survey and from those who had given birth during the Covid-19 pandemic. We received 68 responses to the survey, 40 of which were from those who were pregnant for the first time during lockdown.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
The Covid-19 pandemic has meant that some people are experiencing delays in receiving their treatment and care. We wanted to hear from people who have had their treatment/appointment paused or experienced delays to their care for non-covid related conditions over the last year.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
As the COVID vaccination programme continues, more and more younger people will be invited to get their jab, so it’s important we know as a city how they feel about this; their hopes, worries and motivations; and what information they need. On 18th March 2021, we launched a survey to learn more about how people aged 25-55 in Leeds felt about getting their COVID-19 vaccine.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
From 23rd February to 8th March, we asked people to tell us about their experience of shielding during the pandemic. We wanted to hear both from people who have been asked to shield over the past 12 months and those who have only recently received shielding letters.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
As we entered a new year and a third national lockdown, we realised it was more important than ever to ask people in Leeds how they were doing in terms of their mental health. Over 600 people shared how they were feeling, what had been impacting on their wellbeing the most and how they had experienced support from services. We also caught up with a selection of community organisations to hear their perspective on how people in Leeds are coping.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
In our final instalment looking at how people in Leeds feel about getting their COVID jabs, we highlight some of the key themes we’ve heard over the past month. We also take a closer look the views of women, parents and health and care workers and report on what we’ve heard about how to support people with dementia and learning disabilities to get vaccinated.

In the latest edition of the Check In, we take a closer look at the kind of information people want to know about getting their jabs. We also hear from some of Leeds’ communities and get a sense of their hopes and questions about the vaccine.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
This check-in is the second summary from our survey to learn more about how people in Leeds felt about getting their COVID-19 vaccine. This check-in looks at the 2881 responses we received in the first ten days of the survey, with a particular focus on how factors such as age, ethnicity and gender correlate with intentions to get the jab.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
Given the potentially game-changing news that a COVID vaccine may be on the horizon, we have launched a survey looking at how people in Leeds feel about getting their jabs. In this week’s issue, we look at 1500 responses collected over the survey’s first six days. We also report on debates happening in the third-sector and beyond about how to bust myths and rumours in Leeds’ communities.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
This check in highlights the experiences if some older people during lockdown and the impact it’s having on older peoples support organisations. There is also a specific focus on how Covid-19 has impacted people’s lifestyle in Garforth, Rothwell, Woodlesford and surrounding areas.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
This week, we take an in-depth look at how shielding people and people of different ages have experienced everything from digital healthcare to keeping fit and healthy and staying safe. We also hear from two of the city’s bereavement organisations about how people have been experiencing loss under lockdown.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
Over the past two weeks, we have asked carers to tell us about their experiences of lockdown. A number of our respondents told us about the particular challenges that come from looking after someone with dementia. Worries about loved ones with dementia were also shared with us during our previous survey into how lockdown was affecting people’s mental health.

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
Our focus over the last two weeks has been on carers’ experiences of lockdown, including paid carers working in various services and unpaid carers looking after loved ones. We also wanted to hear from people who receive care. Because of this focus, it is very important that we capture the feedback Carers Leeds has heard from its service users.

This week, we asked unpaid carers to share their experiences of looking after their clients and their loved ones, as well as themselves. 42 people responded to our survey between Monday 18th and Wednesday 20th May.

Weekly real-time report. We continued to ask people about lockdown and mental health. Over two weeks, 959 people shared their experiences with us, as well as 47 young people and 20 care leavers. One of the questions we asked was “how has lockdown affected you or your loved ones’ mental health?”

How does it feel for me during Covid 19?
Weekly real-time report. This time, we launched three surveys, all looking at mental health during lockdown. One was for people aged 11-25; one was specifically aimed at the MH experiences of care leavers; and the third was for the general population. These surveys ran for 2 weeks in total.
