Why volunteer with us?
We don't have a fixed idea of who will want to help us out, but if you can sign up to our vision and values - we'll try and work something out with you. The kind of people who might want to volunteer with us might be:
- People who want to share the knowledge and understanding they have developed by using a health or social service
- People who want to understand more about how health and social services work - maybe wanting to get a job in health or social care?
- People who have experience of caring for or looking after someone with a health difficulty
- People who are interested in learning new skills or bringing their knowledge and skills
"The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Craig who was very easy to communicate with and sort some volunteering"
"Through volunteering, I have constantly felt like I'm doing something positive, and making a difference to health and social care."

Opportunities to get involved
There are lots of ways you can volunteer with us. We will always try to match the role to where your interests are.
We want volunteering to reflect your interests and your ideas about how we can help to improve health and social care systems in Leeds by listening and involving the people who use them. Take a moment to read the Volunteering Handbook.
You can keep up to date with all our opportunities by signing up to our Healthwatch Leeds Newsletter.
We have been awarded the volunteers kitemark standard
We are pleased to have been awarded the Leeds Volunteering Kite mark for our volunteer programme.
“Having assessed your portfolio; I have no hesitation in recommending Healthwatch to receive your Kitemark. I thought your portfolio was great. It’s evident that lots of work has gone into putting your portfolio together and a really good variety of evidence has been submitted. Well done and best wishes.”
