What's important to working-age adults in West Yorkshire about their health and care?

Healthwatch worked together across West Yorkshire to gather feedback from working-aged adults to find out their experiences of health and care services. This briefing paper is a summary of what people have said.

We sent out a survey asking people what worked well, what could be improved and what people worry about when it comes to their health. West Yorkshire Voice also went out to community groups to hear from specific groups who are facing the biggest health challenges.

Health inequalities happen when people, for whatever reason, do not have fair access to health and care services. Services can make changes to make their care centred around the person so that they have equal access to others.

This briefing paper was presented to the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board on 25th June 2024. Your feedback led to discussions with health and care leaders in hopes for them to listen and improve fair access to health.
