Local Healthwatch across West Yorkshire are working together to share people's experiences of health and care services at a West Yorkshire level. This is to ensure that people's voices are at the heart of shaping these services.

West Yorkshire Insight Briefing - Access to Primary Care in West Yorkshire, November 2023
Primary care was the focus of the Integrated Care Board meeting in November 2022 and again in November 2023. The meeting is a discussion between people in charge of NHS health and care services in West Yorkshire and the theme of the meeting changes each time. At the Integrated Care Board meeting, local Healthwatch across West Yorkshire prepared to share what we heard about Primary Care services. Primary Care includes services such as your GP, dentist and pharmacy. In 2022 we brought a mixture of positive and negative experiences along with recommendations to make these services more accessible. In 2023 we talked about how positive examples of good practice can be shared to make things better for more people.
