People with visual impairments’ experiences of accessing health & care
Between January and March 2019, we worked collaboratively with a number of organisations. They helped us to reach out to people with visual impairments in different settings, including those who attended social groups and hospital eye clinics. We also hosted a couple of focus groups to gain their feedback.

We wanted to find out the experiences of people with visual impairment access health and social care services.
Three quarters of respondents wanted to see some improvements in health and care services. Based on our findings and respondents’ suggestions, we have made recommendations in the following areas
