Wykebeck Court Care Home

Based on our observations and the respondents’ feedback, the majority of residents receive good care. However, consideration of the following recommendations may enhance the residents experience:

Recommendations

Review the content of the activities’ programme and how it is communicated to residents and relatives.

Consider providing more opportunities for involving people in their/their relative’s care and also how the home is run.

Consider introducing a staff picture board at the home.

Service Provider response

Recommendations

Care and nursing needs assessment tool is updated weekly and cross referenced with the staff rota. The Deputy Manager is managing rota for the whole home and ensures adequate staff are available.

New activities co-ordinator in place since early March. Findings of the report have been shared with the activities co-ordinator.

Every resident’s care plan is reviewed at least once a month as part of the “resident of the day” reviews.
